Iraq’s Hezbollah Condemns US-UK Coalition Airstrikes against Yemen

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iraqi Kata'ib Hezbollah, an anti-terror group, endorsed the Yemeni army's naval blockade on the Israeli regime and condemned the US-UK coalition's airstrikes in Yemen, describing them as a consequence of the coalition's failure to break the blockade.

"We stress that the enemy will receive blows from us," Iraq’s Kata'ib Hezbollah said, "and we will not hesitate to provide any support to our Yemeni brothers in the battle of truth against falsehood."

On Friday night, warplanes from the American and British coalition launched airstrikes on the Al-Hudaydah radio building and the Al-Salif port in Al-Hudaydah, Yemen.

These attacks resulted in 16 deaths and 41 injuries.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated that the coalition targeted civilian sites such as the Al-Hudaydah radio building and the coast guard in Al-Salif port.

Saree added that the coalition's actions also damaged commercial ships.

"The American-British coalition targeted Yemeni citizens, which is a blatant violation of international laws and a complete war crime," Saree said.

Following the attacks, Ali al-Qahoum, a member of the Political Bureau of Yemen's Ansarullah resistance movement, promised a "painful response" to the atrocities.

"The Americans and British must have known how powerful Yemeni strikes would be. "Our ballistic missiles can target desired targets in the sea and the occupied Palestinian territories," he told Lebanon's al-Mayadeen television network.

Shortly after, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they had targeted the US aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Red Sea in response to the deadly American attacks.

"The operation was carried out with a number of winged and ballistic missiles," the forces' spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said, adding that "the hit was accurate and direct."
