Yemen's Armed Forces Launch More Retaliatory Strikes on US Vessels

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen’s Armed Forces have conducted six new operations, including an attack on an American aircraft carrier, in response to US aggression and Israel's war on Gaza.

The spokesperson for the forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced these operations in a video statement on Saturday.

He identified the targeted American carrier as the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, saying it was struck in the Red Sea with several ballistic missiles and drones.

On Friday, the Armed Forces also reported targeting the same vessel with multiple winged and ballistic missiles.

Additionally, Saree mentioned that another operation hit an "American destroyer" in the Red Sea using ballistic missiles and drones.

These retaliations followed attacks by American and British warplanes and US warships on the western Yemeni provinces of Sanaa, al-Hudaydah, and Taizz, which resulted in at least 16 deaths and over 40 injuries.

Saree further announced four other strikes on commercial ships that violated a ban imposed by Sanaa on Israeli vessels or those heading to ports in occupied Palestinian territories.

The Yemeni forces have enforced this ban since last October when Israel launched its war on Gaza, which has so far killed at least 36,379 Gazans, mostly women and children.

One of the targeted ships in the pro-Palestinian operations was identified as Maina, which Saree said was hit twice in the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea.

Two other vessels, Aloraiq and Abliani, were struck respectively in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.

All six operations hit their targets "accurately and directly," according to the spokesperson.

Saree vowed that the Armed Forces would continue their pro-Palestinian strikes as long as Israel maintained its war and siege on Gaza.
