Israeli Raids in West Bank Spark Clashes, Detentions

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Clashes erupted in several West Bank communities as Israeli forces conducted multiple raids, resulting in injuries and detentions, according to local sources.

The Israeli military stormed the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, igniting confrontations with Palestinian resistance groups.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that two Palestinians were detained following separate raids in the Jalazone refugee camp and the al-Masayef neighborhood in Ramallah.

Clashes also broke out during the raids in Ramallah, though there were no immediate reports of casualties.

Two Palestinians were injured, one critically, during a dawn raid in the Jalazone refugee camp.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that one individual was shot in the head and is in critical condition. Another individual suffered bullet fragment wounds in the abdomen and leg. Both were transported to a hospital for treatment.

Two additional Palestinians were detained during the raids in Jalazone and al-Masayef. Among those arrested was a man originally from the Gaza Strip, according to Wafa.

Israeli forces also targeted the town of Kfardan, west of Jenin, in a series of overnight raids.

According to Al Jazeera Arabic, the home of Ahmed al-Rashad was raided, leading to clashes with local Palestinian residents.

Confrontations also occurred between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron (al-Khalil). Israeli forces raided the town center, confiscated vehicles, and searched private properties.

In Kafr Dan, fighting broke out after Israeli military vehicles conducted patrols and stormed homes.

Raids were also reported in Jenin, Qalqilya, and Hebron.

One Palestinian was arrested from his home in Beita, south of Nablus, where several homes were stormed and searched, leading to confrontations.

Israeli forces withdrew from Beita several hours after storming it, having used tear gas against Palestinian youth and targeted several houses, destroying their contents.

Agricultural lands planted with olives and almonds were burned following an attack by Israeli settlers in the town of Husan, west of Bethlehem.

According to Wafa, seven acres of land were destroyed.

Israeli settlers have ramped up attacks on Palestinian properties, including centuries-old olive plantations, since October 7, with some attacks resulting in deaths.

Since October 7, attacks by Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 547 Palestinians and wounded many more in the occupied West Bank.
