Iran had defeated the Philippines 3-0 in its opening match on Sunday in Pool B at the Ratchaburi Gymnasium in Ratchaburi, Thailand and lost to defending champion Japan 3-0, Chinese Taipei 3-0 and South Korea 3-0.

Iran will face winner of South Korea and Uzbekistan in the 5th-6th place on Sunday.

The top four teams will qualify for the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U-19 World Championship.
