Iran’s non-oil trade (import and export) rose from $74 billion in 2020 to $116 billion in the previous Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2023 to March 19, 2024), showing a 57 percent hike, IRICA said.
The country’s non-oil trade in weight increased from 147 million tons in 2020 to 167 million tons last year, indicating a 20 percent growth compared to the same period a year earlier.
According to this report, Iran imported $66 billion of non-oil products last year, $2 billion of which belonged to the import of gold ingots and $2.6 billion related to the import of trucks and trailers, IRNA reported.
Regarding Iran’s trade with the 15 neighboring states last year, IRICA said the value of Iran’s total trade with the neighboring states reached more than $61 billion in the previous Iranian calendar year, registering a 10 percent hike.
Accordingly, 17.8 million tons of goods were transited via the Iranian land and territory last year, showing a 54 percent increase compared to the same period a year earlier.
