Esteghlal Defender Rouzbeh Cheshmi Extends Deal

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team defender Rouzbeh Cheshmi has penned a one-year deal extension with the team.

Sports

The Esteghlal skipper joined the Blues in 2021 from Qatari club Umm Salal for the second stint.

Cheshmi helped Esteghlal win Iran Pro League and Super Cup in 2021 and 2022.

The defender scored the winning goal in the match against Wales in injury time and kept Iran’s hopes to book a place in the 2022 World Cup’s next stage alive.
