Saravi Wins Iran’s First Gold Medal in 2024 Olympics
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Greco-Roman wrestler Mohammad Hadi Saravi won Iran’s first gold medal in the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Saravi defeated Armenia’s Artur Aleksanyan 4-1 in the final match of the 97-kilogram weight category late Wednesday.
Cuban Gabriel Rosillo and Kyrgyzstan’s Uzur Dzhuzupbekov won bronze medal in the weight class.
Iran’s Greco-Roman wrestler Amin Mirzazadeh had already won a bronze medal in the 130 kg on Tuesday night.
