Iranian Climber Alipour Comes Fourth in Olympics

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Reza Alipour of Iran finished in the fourth place in sport climbing at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

He lost to his American rival Sam Watson in the bronze medal match in Paris on Thursday.

Watson won bronze with a time of 4.74 seconds. Alipour finished fourth with 4.88 seconds.

Indonesia’s Veddriq Leonardo defeated Chinese athlete Wu Peng with a time of 4.75 seconds at the Le Bourget Climbing Venue in Paris.

Wu had to be content with a silver medal after losing 0.02 seconds to the Indonesian athlete.
