KDP Member Handed Over to Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Behzad Khosravi, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, has been handed over to Iran, a source revealed.
The informed security source confirmed to Tasnim that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan -a political party in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq- has handed Behzad Khosravi over to Iran.
The KDP member has reportedly been sent to Iran by order of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) leader.
In March 2023, Tehran and Baghdad signed a security agreement in the Iraqi capital, which includes coordination in protecting the common border between the two countries.
Under the agreement, the Iraqi government pledged to disarm anti-Iran terrorist and separatist groups based in the country's northern Kurdistan region and relocate them from the border areas.
