Iraqi Resistance Group Vows Retaliation against Israel after Terrorist Attack on Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) –An Iraqi resistance group has vowed to target Israeli settlements across the occupied Palestinian territories following a terrorist cyberattack on Lebanon that left at least eleven people dead and nearly 3,000 thousands injured.

Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary general of Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, made the statement on Wednesday, emphasizing that the Iraqi resistance is prepared to deploy advanced weapons, including missiles and drones, in their operations against the Israeli regime.

The Nujaba movement, which operates under the umbrella of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI), condemned the Israeli regime’s aggression, describing it as a criminal act.

The group asserted that such attacks would only strengthen the resistance's resolve.

The Iraqi resistance also voiced its full support for the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah in confronting "the Zionists, the Americans, and their allies."

On Tuesday, explosions caused by wireless communication devices, known as pagers, injured thousands of people in Lebanon, including Hezbollah members and civilians.

Officials, citing preliminary investigations, indicated that the blasts were likely the result of a remote cyberattack orchestrated by the Israeli regime amidst rising tensions in the region.

The attack has sparked widespread condemnation, with Palestinian resistance groups and Yemen's Ansarullah denouncing the incident.

Israel has been engaged in frequent exchanges of fire with Hezbollah since October, following its genocidal military campaign in Gaza.

Experts suggest that these latest attacks reflect Israel's increasing desperation after facing military setbacks, and argue that they may hasten its downfall.

More than 41,200 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza over the past 11 months, the majority of whom were women and children.
