IRGC Warns Israel of Crushing Response to Lebanon Blasts

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – In a message for the secretary-general of Hezbollah, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps warned the Israeli regime that it will soon receive a crushing response from the resistance front for the recent terrorist crimes in Lebanon.

IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami on Thursday sent a message for Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, condemning the Zionist regime’s terrorist crimes in Lebanon that led to the martyrdom and injury of Lebanese people and Hezbollah forces after the explosions of pagers and walkie-talkie devices.

The IRGC commander said such terrorist Israeli actions, which reveal the Zionist regime’s frustration and follow its successive defeats, will soon draw a “crushing response from the resistance front” as the criminal Tel Aviv regime will be completely destroyed.

He noted that Israel has committed crimes to delay its demise and whitewash the scandal of its consecutive failures, pointing to the successful operations by Hezbollah that have rattled the security, intelligence and military foundations of the Zionist regime during the past year.

Despite receiving unlimited supports from the Western governments, the Israeli enemy has achieved none of its objectives after nearly one year of war on Gaza and resorting to various crimes, the IRGC commander said, noting that the Israeli regime has been receiving blows from the resistance in the central, northern, eastern and southern areas of the occupied territories on a daily basis and has been surrounded.

The explosions of thousands of pagers widely used by resistance factions and also public service workers in Lebanon left at least a dozen dead and around 3,000 people injured on Tuesday.

The Lebanese government has blamed Israel and vowed to file a complaint with the United Nations over the attack.

Later on Wednesday, as many as 20 more people were killed and more than 450 others injured after more communication devices exploded across Lebanon, including in the capital Beirut as well as the country’s south and east.

The Israeli regime has declined to comment on the developments, but Hezbollah has held it squarely responsible.
