Omar Khribin scored an early goal for Al Wahda in the third minute at the Al-Rashid Stadium but Sardar Azmoun leveled the score four minutes later.
Yuri Cesar was on target for the host in the 13th minute but Khribin canceled out his goal in the 33rd minute.
Azmoun completed his brace before the break to give Shabab Al Ahli a 3-2 lead.
With nine minutes remaining, Syrian forward Khribin made his hat-trick but two goals from Mu’nas Dabbur made the scoreboard 5-3 in the last minutes of the match.
Lucas Pimenta pulled a goal back in the dying moments of the match.
Shabab Al Ahli moved up to second place in the table while Al Wahda remained in fifth place.
