Mohammad Sadegh Hassani said Iran’s export of tea to other countries from March 21 to August 22, 2024, registered a 28.8 percent decline compared to the same period last year.
In this period, 20,170 tons of tea were imported into the country, showing a 51.45 percent growth compared to last year’s corresponding period, Mehr news agency reported.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Hassani noted that 22,272 tons of coffee were imported into the country between March 21 and August 22, 2024, showing a two percent rise compared to the same period last year.
