Sepahan started its campaign with a loss against Jordan’s Al Wehdat in the 2024-25 AFC Champions League Two.
Al Wehdat SC and Sharjah FC of the United Arab Emirates both claimed wins in their respective opening fixtures.
The two meet on Wednesday with Sharjah looking to make full use of home ground advantage after a successful away trip to Dushanbe where they earned a 1-0 win over FC Istiklol of Tajikistan.
