In his message, issued on Tuesday, the Leader expressed condolences to the bereaved family and the senior commander’s colleagues, whishing them blessings from the God, the Almighty.
Ayatollah Khamenei also said martyrdom on the path of God for General Nilforushan, who spent a lifetime raising the flag of Islam, was a great blessing.
General Nilforushan was martyred in an Israeli bombardment of southern Beirut on September 27 alongside Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement Seyed Hassan Nasrallah.
