Ali Soleimani, who is also the director general of the customs offices of Bushehr province, noted that over 15 million tons of goods, valued at more than $5 billion, were exported from the customs offices of this province between March 21 and September 22, 2024, showing a 2% and a 3% growth in weight and value, respectively compared to last year’s corresponding period, Mehr news agency reported.
The products were mainly exported to China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan, Turkey, Oman, Taiwan, Qatar and Sri Lanka, the observer maintained.
He also said that over 382,000 tons of non-oil products, valued at more than $1 billion, were imported into the customs offices of this province, indicating a 22 and a 16 percent growth in weight and value, respectively compared to the same period last year.
Types of fabrics, auto spare parts, car tires, sunflower seeds, bananas and various brands of tea were imported into this southern province in this period, he added.
