Gharagozloo lost to two-time World Champion Muhammad Asif of Pakistan 5-3 in the final match.

Reigning Asian champion Gharagozloo had advanced to the semi-finals after defeating India’s Sourav Kothari 4-1.

He also defeated Egypt’s Mahmoud Elhareedy in the semi-final.
