Omid Noorafkan opened the scoring for the visiting team in the third minute of the match in Khoramabad’s Takhti Stadium. Reza Ghandipour made the scoreboard 2-0 in the 62nd minute but Hamidreza Taherkhani halved the deficit from the penalty spot in the 86th minute. With one minute remaining, Mohammad Omri scored Malavan’s third goal.
Furthermore, Aluminum and Gol Gohar played out a goalless draw in Arak and Havadar lost to Esteghlal Khuzestan 1-0 in Tehran.
Malavan moved up to fourth place with 18 points, three points behind IPL leader Sepahan.
