Iran, Saudi Arabia Discuss Regional Developments
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia talked about the latest regional developments at a meeting in Qatar.
In the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Doha Forum 2024 in Qatar on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the turmoil in Syria.
Araqchi briefed the Saudi minister on the topics mooted in the ministerial meeting of the Astana Format in Doha and the results of his consultations held during visits to regional countries.
For his part, bin Farhan expressed Saudi Arabia’s support for the cessation of clashes and violence in Syria and for focusing on dialogue and political solutions to the problems.
