Iran Champion of 2024 Asia-Pacific Deaf Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s delegation claimed the title of the 10th Asia-Pacific Deaf Games.
The Iranian team won 24 gold medals, 17 silvers and 20 bronzes.
South Korea became runner-up with 21 golds, 10 silvers and 16 bronzes.
China came third, winning 19 golds, nine silvers and eight bronzes.
The tournament, which is seen as a precursor to the Deaflympics in Japan next year, was held from December 1 to 8 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Asia Pacific Deaf Games is a deaf multi-sport event established in 1984 which is held every four years in the Asia Pacific region. It is the successor to the "Far Eastern Deaf Football Championship" which was held in Taipei in 1983.
