In a statement on Monday night, Esmaeil Baqaei criticized the Western supporters of the Zionist regime for their silence and inaction regarding the violation, which Israel interprets as approval of its aggressive moves.
He noted that the Zionist regime’s military aggression against Syria is a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter while the Syrian people are experiencing developments arising from system change, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
Baqaei also called for an immediate response from the UN Security Council to halt the aggression and hold the occupying regime accountable.
Recalling the occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights, the spokesperson described the actions of the Israeli regime in violating the UN Security Council resolutions and expanding the scope of its occupation as a sign of the expansionist and aggressive approach of the occupying regime and its disrespect for all international legal norms and rules.
He also stressed the need to utilize all regional and international capacities to stop Israel's aggressions against Syria.
