Iran, Qatar Discuss Formation of Inclusive Government in Syria

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar weighed plans to contribute to the establishment of stability in Syria and the formation of an inclusive political governing system founded upon the will of the Syrian people.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani held a telephone conversation on Thursday.

The two senior diplomats discussed the latest regional developments, most notably the situation in Syria, and the other issues of mutual interest.

During the talks, both sides emphasized the need for serious efforts and measures to stop the Zionist regime’s attacks on Syria’s infrastructures and the occupation of more Syrian territories.

They also weighed plans to continue the bilateral and multilateral talks on the developments in Syria to help establish a comprehensive political system in the Arab country that would reflect the will of all Syrian people.
