Iran Raps US, German Support for Israeli Genocidal Crimes

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry cited a report from the UN special rapporteur who has disclosed that the US and Germany supply 99% of the weapons exported to Israel, saying Washington and Berlin are fully complicit in the genocidal crimes in Gaza.

In a post on his X account on Monday night, Esmaeil Baqaei referred to a recent report from Ben Saul, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and Counter Terrorism, saying the rapporteur has said, “Germany & the United States supply 99% of the weapons exported to Israel. They could stop this conflict overnight if they stopped the weapons that kill the Palestinians."

The Iranian spokesman added, “US and Germany are aiding and abetting genocide by continued weapons transfers to Israel that have made them fully complicit in Gaza Genocide‌.”

“Indeed, they are defying all legal norms revolving around 'respect & ensure respect' for IHL as well as their international obligations on prevention & punishment of genocide. They must be held to account for their wrongful & criminal acts,” Baqaei stated.
