Iran Warns of US-Israeli Plot to Dominate Region

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi warned of a joint plot hatched by the US and the Zionist regime to undermine Muslim nations and project control over the region.

In a telephone conversation on Sunday, Araqchi and his Yemeni counterpart Jamal Ahmed Amer talked about the relations between Tehran and Sana’a and the latest regional developments.

The top Iranian diplomat condemned the military strikes by the US, the UK and the Israeli regime against Yemen.

He said the US is brazenly violating international law by acting as a proxy for the Zionist regime.

He also warned about a “joint plot” hatched by the US and Israel “to destroy and weaken Islamic countries and dominate the region.”

Araqchi also praised the Yemeni people’s honorable support for Palestine, adding, “In spite of all crimes and acts of aggression and benefiting from the unlimited support from the US and a number of other Western states, ... the Zionist regime has failed to achieve its evil objectives.”

For his part, the Yemeni foreign minister lauded Iran’s support for the people of Yemen against hostile aggression.

Warning of the US and Israeli attempts to take control of the region, Ahmed Amer said major Islamic nations must employ their great potential to prevent the enemies from achieving their objectives.
