The Spanish coach stepped down as head coach of Persepolis on Sunday and media reports suggested that Jalal Hosseini was appointed as Persepolis interim coach.
Later in the day, the club announced that Bagheri, who had been added to the club in early October, was named Persepolis coach for two upcoming matches.
Persepolis sit fourth in the Iran league with 23 points, five points behind leader Tractor.
