Yemen’s Ansarullah Missile Strikes Alter Israel's Calculations: IRGC Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) official praised Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement for its missile attacks on Israel, asserting that these actions have forced the regime to reshape its strategies following its involvement in the Syria conflict.
Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, head of the IRGC’s Public Relations Department, made the remarks on Thursday amid continued Israeli aggression against Syria and a surge in missile attacks from Yemen on Israeli-occupied territories.
"The powerful measures by Yemen's Ansarullah movement demonstrated that the resistance front is self-reliant, independent in various fields and enjoys unparalleled capabilities to respond to Zionist regime crimes," Naeini stated.
He criticized global media for spreading propaganda aimed at silencing the resistance front and emphasized the need for a coordinated media strategy to counter these efforts.
Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, which has resulted in the deaths of at least 45,361 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
In retaliation, Yemen's Ansarullah has openly declared its support for Palestine and has targeted ships linked to Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom, vowing to continue its attacks until Israel stops its criminal offensives in Gaza.
On Wednesday, the Yemeni Armed Forces claimed responsibility for a missile strike on an Israeli military target, marking their second attack in two days. Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s Armed Forces, revealed that a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile was used in the operation, striking a military target in Tel Aviv.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have pledged to maintain their operations against Israel until its ground and aerial campaigns in Gaza come to an end.
