Persepolis parted company with Juan Carlos Garrido last week and is looking for a replacement for the Spanish coach.
The 56-year-old coach was also a candidate to take charge of Persepolis’ archrival Esteghlal but they didn’t reach an agreement.
Bilic has most recently worked as head coach of Saudi Arabian team Al-Fateh.
He started his coaching career in 2001 in Hajduk Split and has also worked at Croatia U-21, Croatia, Lokomotiv Moscow, Westham United, West Bromwich Albion, Watford and Beijing Guoan.
Defending champion Persepolis sits fourth, five points behind leader Tractor in the Iran football league.
