In a telephone conversation on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Ziyad al-Nakhalah discussed the latest developments in Gaza and the ceasefire agreement that would end nearly 16 months of Israeli onslaught on the besieged enclave.

Araqchi congratulated the unparalleled resistance of the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli regime’s genocide and heinous crimes, which at last forced the regime to surrender and accept the truce, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

He underlined the principled and unchangeable policy of Iran in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people’s legitimate and legal resistance against the Zionist occupiers.

For his part, Nakhalah gave a report on the latest situation in Gaza and the related political developments.

He also praised the courageous position and support of Iran for the people of Gaza.

The PIJ leader underlined that the resistance of the Palestinian people to reclaim their human and legal rights and achieve self-determination and liberation from occupation will continue with great resolve.
