Inter Assistant Coach Farris Insists Taremi ‘Just Needs Goal to Turn Corner’
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Inter Milan assistant coach Massimiliano Farris feels Kristjan Asllani did well against Empoli, and Mehdi Taremi “just needs the turning point.”
Farris spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN after the match, via FCInterNews. He reacted to the Nerazzurri’s 3-1 victory in the Serie A clash. Inter secured three important points in the title race against Empoli this evening.
Inter assistant coach Farris explained his halftime message to the team. “I tried to calm the guys down,” he said.
“We were expecting Empoli to be a bit more aggressive. But they put up a strong defensive wall.”
“We worked to try and move the ball quicker,” the Inter assistant coach said of the adjustments in the second half. “And not give them any reference points.”
Meanwhile, Farris said that “I want to congratulate Kristjan Asllani. San Siro is a tough stadium to play in but he had a solid match.”
Meanwhile, Farris also addressed the lack of goals by striker Taremi this season.
“We still see his movements, his generosity, the way he runs a lot,” the Nerazzurri assistant coach said.
“He needs to find that breakthrough goal,” he added.
