In a meeting with Araqchi in Tehran on Tuesday, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan highlighted the special importance that Armenia attaches to the relations with Iran.
He expressed gratitude for Iran's stance on the regional developments and voiced Armenia's desire to establish peace and security in the South Caucasus.
Kostanyan also reaffirmed Armenia's foreign policy of maintaining good neighborly relations and expanding comprehensive ties with Iran.
Araqchi, for his part, hailed the good relations and extensive cooperation between Iran and Armenia in various fields.
He expressed the Iranian administration’s determination to develop and deepen ties with Armenia, considering them beneficial for the both nations and essential for sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
The foreign minister also voiced Iran's readiness to assist in achieving peace and maintaining stability and security in the region.
