People Killed after Plane Hits Bus in Sao Paulo

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – At least two people have been killed and two others injured in a plane crash in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.

The light aircraft plummeted into busy traffic on a main road and smashed into a bus, causing it to burst into flames.

Huge plumes of thick black smoke could be seen across Marques de Sao Vicente, a western part of the city, after the crash, The Independent reported.

Witness Genival Dantas Arraes described watching as the plane erupted into a "fireball" on impact.

“The plane suddenly came down the avenue and I just saw everything flying and the fireball,” he told local media.

“It exploded immediately. Everyone was paralyzed. The plane was ripping up palm trees and signs.”

Two people - a motorcyclist and a woman who was on the bus - were injured after they were struck by debris from the explosion, CNN Brasil reported.

The aircraft - a small twin-engine King Air - had left Campo de Marte Airport. The control tower lost contact with the plane minutes later.
