Team Melli began the tournament with a 5-3 victory against Argentina in its opening match on Monday but fell to Germany 8-3 on Tuesday.
The Persians advanced to the quarterfinals as the second-best team after defeating Malaysia 3-0 on Thursday.
Iran is set to play Poland on Saturday in the fifth to eighth place round.
The competition is being held in Poreč, Croatia, from February 3 to 9.
