Former Esteghlal Winger Gael Kakuta Joins Turkey’s Sakaryaspor
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Sakaryaspor, one of the teams from TFF 1. Lig, has signed a 1.5-year contract with Congolese footballer Gael Kakuta.
Kakuta, who previously played for teams like Chelsea, Lazio, and Sevilla, was most recently playing in the Iranian Super League side Esteghlal.
"We have signed a contract with Gael Kakuta, a citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo, who previously played for teams like Chelsea, Sevilla, Lazio, Lens, and Bolton,” a statement from the Turkish club said.
Kakuta joined Esteghlal in August from France’s Ligue 2 club Amiens but failed to live up to expectations.
