Iran to File Legal Complaint against Trump’s Remarks at UN Security Council

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran will submit a formal complaint to the United Nations Security Council over recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, which violate international law, a senior Iranian official said on Sunday.

Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, said in a post on X that the massive turnout of Iranians in the 46th-anniversary rally of the Islamic Revolution was a strong response to Trump’s latest threats against the country.

"Iran will firmly safeguard its security and national interests," Gharibabadi wrote.

He added that in pursuit of legal action, Iran would register a protest letter as an official document of the UN Security Council, condemning the US president’s remarks as contrary to international law and the UN Charter.
