Israel Intensifies Raids in Occupied West Bank As Tensions Rise in Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces have launched a large-scale crackdown in the occupied West Bank, raiding the Arroub refugee camp near Hebron and arresting multiple Palestinians.

The operation is part of an ongoing Israeli military campaign targeting refugee camps across the region, according to Al Jazeera Arabic.

Israeli soldiers assaulted several detainees and stormed a UNRWA health center inside the camp. The offensive, known as "Iron Wall," has resulted in dozens of Palestinian deaths and the displacement of over 40,000 people from Jenin, Tulkarem, Nur Shams, and Far’a camps. Israeli forces have also demolished numerous homes and damaged vital infrastructure, including roads, water, and power networks.

Meanwhile, Israel continues its siege of Tulkarem city and the refugee camps of Tulkarem and Nur Shams, where reports indicate widespread arrests, property destruction, and mistreatment of residents. Al Jazeera Arabic and Palestinian media have documented ongoing abuses in these areas.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing local sources, reported several arrests across the West Bank, including four individuals in Abwein, north of Ramallah; one person in al-Mazraa al-Gharbiya, northwest of Ramallah; another in Burqa, east of Ramallah; two brothers in Beita, south of Nablus; one individual in eastern Nablus; and one person in Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.

The Palestinian Information Center also reported that Israeli forces mistreated several Palestinians during their operation in Abwein.

In response, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry has urged the UN Security Council to "overcome its state of paralysis and take urgent action to stop the crimes of settlement, home demolitions, and annexation" in the occupied West Bank, including East Al-Quds.
