Speaking to reporters at a press conference on Monday, Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran will participate in the funeral of Nasrallah at a high level.
Asked about the cancellation of direct flights from Iran to Lebanon, he said Tehran has expressed its views as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Lebanese counterpart have had a good conversation in this regard.
The spokesman said the two ministers have stressed that the two countries need to make the best decision and prevent third parties from having an influence.
“The negotiations (with Lebanon) are in progress until we reach a rational solution,” Baqaei added.
The spokesman announced on February 14 that the Israeli regime had threatened a passenger plane carrying Lebanese citizens from Tehran “which caused a disruption in the country’s normal flights to Beirut airport”.
He condemned the Israeli threat as a violation of international law. Baqaei also called for the International Civil Aviation Organization and other world bodies “to stop Israel’s dangerous behavior against the safety and security of civil aviation”.
