Two Palestinians Die from Wounds in Southern Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Two Palestinians have died from injuries sustained in Israeli attacks in southern Gaza, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported on Sunday.
One of the victims was shot in Rafah, while the other was wounded in an airstrike on Khan Younis two days earlier, Wafa said.
Israeli forces have repeatedly violated the truce that took effect last month, according to the report. In addition to fatal attacks, Israeli troops have restricted the delivery of vital humanitarian aid.
A third Palestinian man succumbed to injuries on Sunday, four days after being wounded in an Israeli air raid east of Rafah, Wafa added.
Israeli bombardment of Rafah and Khan Younis continued overnight, with naval forces firing machine guns toward the shore.
In northern Gaza, Israeli troops stationed east of Beit Hanoun also opened fire on the town, the news agency reported.
Earlier, Gaza officials said an Israeli drone strike killed three Palestinian police officers in Rafah. Hamas condemned the attack as "a serious violation" of its ceasefire agreement with Israel.
Gaza’s Health Ministry has confirmed 48,271 Palestinian deaths in Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, while 111,693 people have been wounded.
The Government Media Office has updated its death toll to at least 61,709 people, saying thousands missing under the rubble are now presumed dead.
