Confident Tractor to Host Al Khaldiya in ACL Two

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tractor will be confident of getting the job done when it hosts Al Khaldiya SC in the return leg of their AFC Champions League Two 2024-25 last 16 tie on Tuesday.

Sports

The Iran side secured an important 2-1 win in the first leg with the winner to face either Al Wakrah of Qatar or Saudi Arabia's Al Taawoun in the quarter-finals.

Tractor's confidence will be boosted by the fact that it - alongside Sanfrecce Hiroshima of Japan - is the only unbeaten sides in this year's competition.

It is also in good form, currently leading the Iran Pro League standings - sitting a point ahead of Sepahan.

Al Khaldiya lost the first leg despite having taken the lead through Mohamed Al Romaihi, with the Bahraini club left shell-shocked by the defeat.

Head coach Ali Ashour, however, refused to concede defeat and vowed that his players will be mentally and physically ready for the return leg.

The match will be held at the Yaegar E-Imam Stadium in Tabriz on Tuesday.
