Israeli Forces Evict Vulnerable Palestinians, Conduct Mass Arrests in West Bank

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces have evicted vulnerable Palestinians, including elderly and disabled individuals, from the Nur Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, while detaining dozens in widespread raids, according to local residents and official sources.

Among those displaced is an 80-year-old woman and her son, who uses a wheelchair.

Yousef Jamal, a camp resident, stated: “They are forcing people to leave their houses. You can’t even imagine the situation. The army comes and forces children, women, and elderly to leave. My neighbor is 80 years old and she has a son in a wheelchair, and they forced him out.”

The Israeli military has expanded operations across the occupied West Bank following the Gaza ceasefire, destroying homes and critical infrastructure.

Over 40,000 people have been forcibly displaced as a result.

Some displaced individuals, like Intisar Zidane, have been forced to flee multiple times.

Zidane said: “I came to Nur Shams camp from Jenin with my daughter to seek shelter. We came to the camp and found that it (was) surrounded by the army. We are trapped, and the situation is catastrophic.”

Meanwhile, Israeli forces arrested six Palestinians, including a 14-year-old boy, during raids in the Bethlehem governorate, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

A security source told Wafa that 14 others were detained for hours in the town of Tuqu, southeast of Bethlehem.

In the north, Israeli troops arrested several Palestinians during raids in Tulkarem, including individuals displaced from the neighboring Nur Shams refugee camp.
