Iran Loses to China at 2025 Asian Water Polo Championship SF
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to China at the 2025 Asian Water Polo Championship semifinals on Saturday.
The match was closed 9-9 and China defeated Iran 4-1 in penalty shootout.
Japan also defeated Kazakhstan 18-10 and qualified for the final match.
Japan will lock horn with China in the final, while Iran will meet Kazakhstan in the bronze medal match.
The competition started on Tuesday and will run until March 2 in Zhaoqing, China.
