Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti held talks on the sidelines of the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah on Friday.
They discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments, particularly the situation in occupied Palestine.
They also stressed the shared determination of the leaders of the two countries to enhance relations between the two Muslim nations in all areas.
Araqchi and Nafti highlighted the very close positions of their countries in supporting the Palestinian cause and realizing the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people, as well as their liberation from occupation and apartheid.
The two ministers said the OIC ministerial meeting in Saudi Arabia has sent a clear and unified message in opposition to any plan for the erasure of Palestine.
They also called for serious efforts by all Islamic countries to prevent the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, rebuild the besieged enclave, and hold the Zionist regime accountable for its genocidal and war crimes.
