Israeli Soldiers’ Health Records, Gun Owner Info Leaked in Massive Cyberattack

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A cyberattack has compromised the medical records of Israeli soldiers seeking treatment at various healthcare facilities, while a separate breach has exposed sensitive data on thousands of Israeli gun owners.

Israel’s National Cyber Directorate and cybersecurity teams at Bikurova are investigating the extent of the damage to the military healthcare provider, which was targeted in a cyberattack last week, according to Israeli news outlet Ynet.

Recently declassified information confirms that Bikurova’s network of medical centers suffered a severe cyber assault in recent days.

The Hebrew-language media outlet alleged that Iranian hackers were behind the attack, though cybersecurity authorities have yet to determine the scope, scale, and type of data compromised. Relevant agencies, including the ministry of health, have been warned to prepare for all possible scenarios.

Ynet reported that Bikurova provides healthcare services to various organizations, including the Israeli military, with soldiers frequently visiting its clinics for treatment. One of the network’s key functions is approving medical leave for military personnel.

Bikurova's cybersecurity division acknowledged the breach, claiming Iranian involvement without providing evidence, and stated that measures were being taken to counter the attack and minimize damage to its data security.

Meanwhile, Haaretz reported that a separate hack-and-leak operation has resulted in sensitive data on thousands of Israeli gun owners being published online. Some of the stolen files date as recently as 2025, intensifying concerns over security risks. Israeli authorities are still working to identify the source of the breach and contain its exposure.
