West Should Take Drone Attack on Moscow as Signal of Kiev’s 'Madness': Russia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ukraine's drone attack on Moscow serves as a warning to the West that now it will also deal with the frenzy of the Kiev government, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters.

"This is a signal to the international community, to the collective West, which is collective only on its surface and utterly fragmented in practice, that now it (the West) will deal with the unleashed madness of the monster they raised, fed, equipped, provided with weapons without control and showered with money," she said, TASS reported.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 337 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian regions last night, with 91 unmanned aerial vehicles downed over the Moscow Region. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that air defenses had repelled the largest-ever drone attack on the Russian capital.

As many as two people were killed and over 10 others were injured in the Moscow Region as a result. The attack damaged residential and other buildings, and caused cars to burn down. The Investigative Committee of Russia launched a criminal investigation into an act of terrorism with regard to the large-scale drone attack.
