Iran’s Oil Export Unstoppable: Spokesperson

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokeswoman for the Iranian administration denounced a new sanction the US has imposed on the Iranian oil minister, stressing that it is impossible to halt the country’s crude exports.

In a post on her X account on Saturday, Fatemeh Mohajerani hailed the Iranian Oil Ministry as one of the main ministries on the front line under the sanctions.

She said the fact that the US has hastily imposed a sanction on Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad reveals that Washington is concerned about the Oil Ministry’s activities.

“The export of (Iranian) oil is unstoppable. We won’t give up Iran’s share in the global oil market,” she added.

The spokeswoman noted that the US would have not needed to impose new sanctions or update them against Iran if the previous ones had been effective.

The US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on March 13 designated Paknejad, accusing him of overseeing the export of tens of billions of dollars’ worth of Iranian oil.
