China Successfully Launches Siwei Gaojing Remote Sensing Satellite

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – China has successfully launched a commercial Earth remote sensing satellite Siwei Gaojing-3-02, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) reported.

The Changzheng-2D carrier rocket blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northern China at 12:11 a.m. local time (4:11 a.m. GMT).

Along with the Siwei Gaojing-3-02 satellite, the Tianyan-23 satellite was also launched into orbit, TASS reported.

China is actively developing its national space program, developing meteorological, telecommunications and navigation satellites, as well as technologies for lunar exploration. With government support, Chinese specialists are implementing projects to explore asteroids and Mars. China's space station operates in orbit.
