Russia Eyes Coordination with Iran on Regional, Int’l Issues
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov congratulated his Iranian counterpart on Nowruz, calling for close cooperation with Iran on the regional and international issues.
The top Russian diplomat sent a congratulatory message for Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on the occasion of the Persian new year and Nowruz.
Lavrov hailed the growing relations between Russia and Iran, pointing to the conclusion of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two nations signed in January, a rapid increase in the trade exchanges, and the implementation of the joint infrastructural projects.
The Russian foreign minister also expressed hope that consultations and close coordination between Russia and Iran over the major regional and international issues would continue in the new Persian year and the two nations would carry out the previous agreements through cooperation.
