2025 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup: Iran Downs Indonesia
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran kicked off its AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup Thailand 2025 campaign with an emphatic 12-2 victory over Indonesia in Group C at the Jomtien Beach Arena on Friday.
The win gives the three-time champion an early boost in its title defence and it next takes on Afghanistan on Sunday, while Indonesia will aim to bounce back against the United Arab Emirates.
Ketut Sudiartawan (own goal), Mehdi Shirmohammadi (three goals), Mohammad Mokhtari (two goals), Mohammad Masoumizadeh, Mehdi Mirjalili, Movahed Mohammadpour, Mohammad Ali Nazarzadeh, Mohammad Dastan and Ali Mirshekari were on target for Iran.
Made Adhi Kurniawan scored for Indonesia.
