EU Does Not Understand Meaning of 'Independent': Russian Diplomat
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – EU institutions wrongly understand the word of "independence" when they give money to Kiev for mass media support, said Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna.
"The EU decided to increase support to ‘independent media in Ukraine’ by €10 million. How does the EU understand the meaning of the word ‘independent’?" Ulyanov wrote on his Telegram channel, TASS reported.
On March 22, the European Union’s office in Ukraine informed that it would allocate a further 10 billion euro to Kiev to finance "independent media."
The decision was made amid the suspension of USAID programs.
