Dastan scored two sweetly struck volleys in a 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia in the Saturday’s semi-final. The 29-year-old player is bent on returning home with the winners’ medal.
“We trained very hard for five months, that’s how we are able to show this performance,” Dastan said. “We do our best for the team, our people and our country. I’m hoping we can bring the trophy back to our country.”
“We’re so happy to have shown a good performance. First it’s about not conceding but obviously, I’m happy to have scored twice,” the goalkeeper said.
“Any goal scored is a happy moment for any player but I’m happier to have been able to keep a clean sheet in the game,” he added.
