Normalization of Israeli Crimes Biggest Threat to World Peace, Iran Warns

In a meeting in Algiers on Tuesday, Araqchi and his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf talked about the relations between the two countries as well as regional and international developments, with particular emphasis on the escalating insecurity in West Asia caused by the lawlessness and expansionist policies of the Zionist regime.

Hailing the presence of the high-level Iranian delegation in Algiers, Attaf reaffirmed his country’s readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation with Iran in all mutually desired fields.

For his part, Araqchi referred to the historical, robust, and deeply-rooted relations between the two major Islamic nations, expressing satisfaction with the excellent level of political ties. He also reiterated Iran’s resolve and readiness to enhance relations in all areas, particularly in the economic and commercial sectors.

He also outlined Iran’s position on the catastrophic situation in West Asia caused by the ongoing atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in occupied Palestine and its repeated aggressions against Lebanon and Syria, including the persistent violations of ceasefires and blatant disregard for all norms and principles of the international law and human rights.

Araqchi called for the mobilization of the diplomatic capacities of the Islamic countries to put an end to the genocide in Palestine and prevent further destabilization of the region.

The top Iranian diplomat condemned the continued complicity and partnership of certain Western governments -particularly the US- in the Zionist regime’s crimes and aggressions, describing the normalization of criminality and malevolence as the greatest threat to peace, stability, and the rule of law in the region and the world.

He also emphasized the responsibility of all states, especially Islamic governments, to speak with one voice and act in unity in confronting this dangerous trend, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

Expressing deep concern about the trajectory of regional and global developments -especially the continued massacre and genocide of the Palestinian people, the sinister plot to forcibly displace them from their ancestral homeland, and the military occupation of Syria and Lebanon- both parties underscored that confronting the far-reaching consequences of these crises requires vigilance and cooperation among all nations.
